Wait! Did you smell that? The lingering of cinnamon and warm spice floating delicately in the air, it must be the signature smells of Fall! Another hallmark of Fall is the changes of the natural landscapes. In California those changes are subtle but are certainly there if you keep a noticing eye. Growing up in Alberta Canada, Fall was much more pronounce and much more fleeting. The brief 1-2 weeks highlighted nature in her glory and the pleasant crispness in the air hinted at the coming winter. Fall to me is a time of cozy a time to pull out sweaters that have been crammed into storage boxes to be lifted out of there dormant state and dawned during sunset as the cool Fall air descends. After sorting through sweaters that I had packed last Spring to add back into my wardrobe I determine if they- in the words of Marie Kondo- still brings me JOY and fit the me of 2019. If not, they are donated to a local thrift store. Those that make the cut are washed or placed in the dryer with a dab of essential oil and placed in the refresh cycle. Ahhhhhh. Two sweaters that I have happily added to my fall wardrobe include the Knit V-neck Jumper in Stone from Spell and the Gypsy and the Magical Woman sweatshirt from Mate- The Label.
Why I love Spell and the Gypsy:
Knit V-Neck Jumper in Stone
What can I say? This label is divine! The prints are out of this world beautiful and the fit is always fabulous. This particular knit sweater (aka jumper in Australia) is a delicious color that will transition your wardrobe nicely into the coming months. The sweater is also available in a longer dress version that again adds simple lux to a fall wardrobe.
